How to Beach Profile

I. Procedure
A. Materials
•Pencil, clipboard, graph paper.
•Data Sheet
•Emory Rods
B. Methods
- Once at beach, get teams to make a line, either visual of from the dunes in a straight line.
- Make the teams make the measurements along the line
- Use the Emory Rods to measure the beach. Place one of the poles at the dunes, and the other two meters ahead of the ocean
- Use on of the rods to measure the distance of the other rod.
- Next, using the horizon as an object to line up the rods, line it up with the first pole, to measure the beach
- Lastly, record the data measured, on data sheet.
