Beach Profiling pt. 2 Samir B.

On our trip to the UMASS field satation at noon 4-6-15 to do beach profiling. We had to find the latitude and the longitude of our control point. We took a metal rod and hammered it in to the ground to start our procedure.

We got the data by using emery rods.

1. Get behind the first rod and look at the horizon and line it up with the second rod and line the second rod with the first rod.
2.Write the data you got
3. bring the first rod to the second rod and the second rod need to get as far way as it can.
4. Keep on doing step 1, 2 and 3 until you reach the swash zone.

Near the swash zone we found  sea leatuse it was unsealy huge. When we were done we saw collage student ready to take sample of zoo planktons and phytoplankton. As we were walking back we saw osprey that had a little fish in his mount he was like wheee I am flying for the first time, until the fish was in side the osprey mouth.

I learned many in this trip about how to beach profile.
