Beach profiling pt. 2 Alden T.

Today my class and I went to the U mass field station to profile a beach and begin to track but bursts.
But bursts are when scientist track plants to record climate changes. The plant in which we are tracking is an apple tree. We learned that the tree is planted at 41.17722° north and 702. 433° west. When we were walking to our designated tree, we also saw some "broccoli" trees which are green and broccoli shaped with yellow on top. The yellow is pollen!

Beach profiling is when a group or team of people come together to research how much or how little a beach has changed over time. When you are profiling a beach, you come back to the same wrack point once every season. Today, we started at 2.7 m, at 40 117.739° north, and 7002. 513° west. While we were profiling, the sixth time we got a positive number because we came a cross a pile of debris. After we finished, and as we were walking back, we saw a group of college students who were taking water samples to test for phytoplankton. When we were walking back to the station, we saw a white snowy egret with a fish in its mouth!
