Beach Profiling pt. 2 Katie G.

I had a great time beach profiling at The Field station with Lenny and Matt. Beach profiling is finding the height from the ground/ surface to the waters horizon. When beach profiling, you always want to record the numbers down in your notebook. You want to do this because each season you will come back to the same spot you tested on and see if it had eroded or changed over time.
It was a warm, sunny day out when we went on our field trip. When we got out to the beach we took our emory-rods and had two people hold them while one person found the height. After that we held one emory-rod in place while one move closer to the water. We had a recorder write the numbers down in their journal. We did this process over and over again until we reached the water. It was a really fun and educational trip. I really enjoyed it!
