1 27 15
It went dark overnight
No power and a great Norther’ named Juno
The clock said 7:35 PM
but who believes in time in a vortex
Stayed in bed
with my books and journal
Fell asleep reading
a biography about Richard Pryor
It didn’t get light
the next morning
More like a grey that howled
a car wreck twisted metal
Turned on the gas oven for heat
Let the dog out
To pee
Made myself a cuppa
Fed the cats
Some canned food
And kibble
Like a party
Where everyone wears PJ’s brings blankets
Board games and someone makes snacks Yay
Nowhere to go nowhere to be WE
While the storm spits sand and salt
On Nantucket
we call that Tuesday
into Wednesday
